I REALLY need a compact view!
I don't like this new look very much at all, but I might be able to get used to it if I can have a compact view. Some themes or colors would be nice too.

We see a lot of 'Compact View' feedback so we wanted to gather more feedback!
When looking at your Inbox, we have in the top, right hand side, the sorting icon. From there you can change the Inbox Spacing to: Small, Medium, Large. (Screenshot provided). Same under More > Settings > Appearance (Screenshot provided)
So our question to you:
- Are you not seeing these Settings/Choices?
- You DO see them, but you want it even more Compact? How compact is our question?

Turn off infinite scrolling
Or at least give me the option. I don't want to have to select one email at a time or hundreds if I want to delete multiple emails.

Sort by Sender Not Working
The new sort feature "by sender" is almost completely useless. It doesn't sort all the messages by the sender. Also, if I highlight a message and then do a shift-hold and click on the end of a string of emails I want to delete, the selection tool does not work — it selects a random set of emails, not the ones I wanted to select. The previous version worked so much better. Ugh.

Move Unread Folder up on the left side bar or give us the option to customize our side bar. I use the unread tab every day to see what's new and mark my emails as "read" quickly. With the new design, the Unread folder is now hidden under the three dots and requires an extra click every time I'd like to navigate to it. If for some reason it doesn't make sense to move the unread box up for everyone, then let us customize our own side bars or restore the option to revert back to Classic Mail. Thanks!

when I'm Staring email, I want to be able to star it in the same column that I unstar
in the main email page when I want to star an email I have to move to the right hand side to star and email, but the icon for the star is on the left of the description.

change back to older version
I do not like this new Mail. I cannot =scroll down the message with my down arrow. All it does is scroll down the list of messages. I have to connect my mouse to read the entire message. Poorly designed.
I do not like the look of the opening page. Not visually easy to read.
Deleting past messages is very time consuming. I have to individually delete each message, one at a time. Bring back the older version or allow each of us to choose which one we want. JIM74th ranked -

Why on earth is the ONLY theme available a very light grey text on an off-white background? It is almost impossible to see?
YOu have the email pane squished into a tiny narrow column with over half the screen on the right side taken over by ad banners and then another ad banner across the top, I know you gotta have ads but this is ridiculous, you can't even read full sentences!!!

Fire the person who made this decision
I think you don't realize who your users are. This new version stinks to high heaven. The look of it is terrible. It seems messages are often missing. And I am bombarded with ads. I know you need to make money. But there had to be a better way.

Bring back separation by time period
Inbox looked a lot cleaner when most recent emails were separated from the older ones. Now it's all jumbled together. At least provide an option to do that.

Restore ability to right-click and open individual emails in new tab or window
Please restore the ability to right-click individual emails within any folder and bring up the browser's native right-click menu. I.E. the one that includes the option to open the selected link in a new tab or window.

Roll back the versions
I want you to give me the option to roll back to 5 versions back. All your recent updates/upgrades are not needed. I hate it that the folders, including, the ones I created, are not listed at first page - on the mobile app and when logging in online. I don't want to scroll down and then click and then scroll down to see my folders. PLEASE STOP UPGRADING ADN INSTEAD ROLL BACK.

New mail look is 100% not better - YUCK! Time to switch to Gmail. Sad to have paid for Yahoo mail for years and years and be forced to use the terrible and oddly laid out "new - but not improved" format. Is this a cost savings move? You'll loose in subscription fees in the end. Congrats!

Multiple mailboxes status
With the recent web UI update, you lost one important and quite useful feature. When a few mail accounts are managed with your new UI, there is no visibility on status (or new emails) of all connected accounts accept for the one selected. Please add a combined static view showing all connected email accounts with the numbers of new unread messages in each.

Since you have removed the ability to return to the BETTER email than the "NEW" I am moving my account that has lots of contacts and daily communications to GMAIL. I don't like being bullied into accepting what you think is better. Having the SEND button at the end of the email after putting in contacts, is very cumbersome and easy to forget to push after entering contacts. Disappointed in Yahoo after many many years of going around your merry go round.

Make the starred column optional
I do not star my emails but always have to close the column for that. Why not give the user the option to permanently close that feature

Restore option to group emails by time period.
In the old Yahoo Mail layout, a list of emails would be separated into time periods. For example 2025, 2026, last month, last week etc. This was very useful for looking through a large number of emails.
Without this separation a long list can be difficult to look at, just like a page of text without paragraphs is harder to read.
So in the settings, let's have an option to turn this back on.

Too many spam emails!
I have seen so many spam emails kept on getting into my email box. What has Yahoo done to prevent it? I have a paid subscription but the experience is not good with seeing so many apparent junk mails. I work in Machine Learning field and spam detection is not a new technology. Comparing to Google, Yahoo is not doing well to keep our mailbox clean. Please invest in spam detection otherwise you will lose customers.
