Bring back the single click icon for Calendar - - using a pull down to get to it is a PAIN!!!!
Also you new front end is VERY slow to respond compared to the old version - - so not an upgrade

Make it customizable
The bright white or the black are both just awful. You should have themes or at least a color palette. I truly hate it the way it is now. So much that I may leave and go to gmail.

Fix email so you can read an email without using your hands
I don't know how to accomplish but I'd like to open an email and read it without having to move the email from left to right. I'm on the verge of using Yahoo Mail as my junk email address and changing to gmail as my primary. I've had Yahoo for decades and really don't want to do that.

I cannot unset third-party verification to login
I dont want to use my phone or login to another email address to sign in to Yahoo! Today I was required to do that. Its ridiculous ... but the worst part is there's seemingly NO WAY to disable 2-factor identification.

Question about my yahoo mail
Why can't I switch my yahoo mail back to basic or classic mail even though I cleared the cache and clicked on button setting and more setting, but the basic mail option does not show? My account is spwl20017@yahoo.com.

delete emails
when you delete a email make it so it doesnt come back i have to delete mine like all day and im ****** at the new yahoo email i hate it give us the option to go back to the old yahoo some people dont like changes and have to live what others want us to live by change it back or i leave yahoo and sue them

There is no tab to choose a theme for this new yahoo mail
On the former yahoo I had a choice to choose a theme banner around my page. That I enjoyed. This new yahoo my screen is just black and it is boring....boring enough for me to search for another email supplier

Get rid of the stupid achievements
Nobody really wanted to have their inbox act like a game and have achievements. Whoever thought that was a good idea should be fired. It is meant to be functional. If anything allow more freedom in the layout, including moving that new panel to the right side that simply serves mostly for ads. I would much prefer it under the inbox so that I get the full width since many emails scroll left/right now that the panel is to the right taking up real estate unless I raise my resolution to where my eyes hurt.

Delete Multiple Emails
Since the new version, I cannot select multiple emails to delete at once on one condition.
It only happens if I select the top email, press shift, then select an email further down at the bottom.
It works fine if I do it in reverse? Not sure why, but its a little irritating61st ranked -

Been trying to find filters and now can't find them despite using a laptop. I keep getting a lot of unwanted spam 3 to 5 times a day. can we have a clear button under settings that says filters,,, because I can't find it anywhere.

Disable streaks or achievements
Yahoo. You are email. Just let us do email things. I don't care or want streaks or achievements. You're not a game. Why is this even a thing?? I don't want you reading receipts, I don't want streaks for opening email. I use you for work. You're not a toy. Just let us go back to how it was!!

After replying New Mail takes you to the top of your Inbox
Another issue with New Mail vs Classic Yahoo Mail.....
You reply to an email from a few weeks ago, and after you click "send", you are taken back to the top of your Inbox rather than right where that email was at from a few weeks ago.
You then have to scroll, scroll, scroll, to get back down to find that email you replied to in order to move it to a folder, delete it, or something else.
With Classic Yahoo Mail - it takes you right back to that email and date-range, after you reply and hit 'send'.61st ranked -

Why can't I open email attachments on the mobile app after updating to the new version of Yahoo Mail?
After updating to the latest version of the Yahoo Mail app on my iPhone, I can no longer open email attachments. It displays a notification saying: "UNABLE TO PREVIEW, UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD THIS ATTACHMENT, PLEASE TRY AGAIN." I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, as well as logging out and logging back in numerous times; however, it only works briefly—showing the old interface and allowing me to open files—before switching to the new interface, at which point I can no longer open attachments.
