Please bring back my ability to block topics, not news sources

Blocking a news source does not solve the problem of me seeing a story on a topic or individual that I do not care for. For example, It seems that if I block one news source because a story about Megan Markle or the Kardashian clan, the same story pops up from a different news source. Please go back to the way it was a few years ago.

It seems Yahoo is up to its old tricks. A number of its Home page articles/stories/features do not allow for comments. One story showed over six hundred reactions but i was unable to comment.
I remember the "old" days when we could block topics. It wasn't perfect and didn't always work, but it was somthing.
