Unfortunately, you cannot revert back. We are only making the new one better. We know change is frustrating and hard but we really hope you'll give the new layout a fair chance.


WHAT'S NEW:
Calendar - We moved it from under "More" on the right hand side to it's own icon. Still on the right hand side, but it's now the first icon next to Starred and Contacts.

TIPS:
Disable Inbox Categories (All, Primary, etc) - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Inbox Categories.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Sort By Sender - This is still a sorting option, but you must disable Conversation view under your Settings. Then you will see "Sender name"
Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off

  1. Notepad to the right of emails

    There are three managers that use my store Yahoo account. We have customers email us asking questions and, unless managers go through all of the sent items, we don't know who has been responded to and who is waiting for information. A notes/follow up area where contacts and other prompts exist would be a VERY helpful area to toggle to a follow up or Task area so everyone isn't guessing as to what needs to be executed. I'm surprised Yahoo hasn't thought of anything like this yet. Please let me know if this is a function that is being worked…

  2. fix the spam folder

    Please back the ability to bulk block senders directly from spam folder. Being able to mark multiple emails as not spam would be nice, too, but being forced to individually enter each spam account I want blocked makes this the worst "upgrade" yet. Seriously considering abandoning my 30+ year old account over this issue.

    Is there an item on the product roadmap to integrate AI-powered writing assistance directly into the email compose window? This feature would allow users to proofread, refine, or reword their messages using AI before sending them to recipients.

  4. Filters and Rules

    I should be able to create a Filter/Rule while on a message in my Inbox, not have to go out to More>Settings to do so. The way Yahoo has it is very time-consuming and frustrating.

  10. filter messages quick menu option

    There used to be a quick menu selection for "filter messages like these" which worked very well and was a single click when in a message. Now it is buried in settings with a confusing dialog box to accomplish a simple goal, to have a message route to a different folder. No reason to remove this from quick menu, and make the basic function unnecessarily confusing.

  11. Shrink the wasted space so we can have the email page open larger

    When we open an email, all this space from the top of the yahoo mail to the Visit site icon is just too big. It is completely wasted and uses up too much of my viewable screen. And that is the main reason I hate the new Yahoo mail.
    At least let us size it so our smaller computers can view more of our selected email.
    I thought maybe I could attach a screenshot here but I don't see that option.

  12. Expand message viewable area

    Some messages are larger in width than the viewing area. The total message should be readable without trying to move it side to side. Come on Yahoo!! If we have to use this terrible 'upgrade' it should at least be usable!!

  16. enable blocking

    When I go to my spam folder and see obviously spam messages by hovering over the sender, I am suddenly no longer able to block the senders, even though I'm nowhere near the 1000 blocked senders limit.
    FIX IT!

  17. Create filter from email

    Would like to create filter from the context of an email which i have opened, this feature was available in the prev version.

    Currently It adds several manual steps: copying the sender or subject, opening Settings, navigating to Filters, creating the rule, choosing a folder, and saving it. That’s much slower than creating a filter directly from the message you’re already viewing.

    This was the only reason i was on the yahoo mail

  20. we are not able to select SMALL or LARGE on images we paste into email

    in the old email, we could do it and there is no longer a way to adjust the graphic you paste in the email and it can overpower the whole thing
