Unfortunately, you cannot revert back. We are only making the new one better. We know change is frustrating and hard but we really hope you'll give the new layout a fair chance.


WHAT'S NEW:
Calendar - We moved it from under "More" on the right hand side to it's own icon. Still on the right hand side, but it's now the first icon next to Starred and Contacts.

TIPS:
Disable Inbox Categories (All, Primary, etc) - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Inbox Categories.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Sort By Sender - This is still a sorting option, but you must disable Conversation view under your Settings. Then you will see "Sender name"
Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off

  1. Make it quicker

    The new interface is so slow and clunky that it is a burden to work with. I have to deal with hundreds of emails a day, and now it is painfully slow. It's not the layout that's the problem. It is not a newer better version, and yes, it is frustrating. The layout is fine. Fix the speed. It's to the point where it's distracting and makes it much more difficult to do my work.

  2. Nobody cares about the stupid progress section

    Seriously, the only thing I'm here for is to check my emails. Quit giving me annoying pop-ups about this pointless "progress" nonsense. Oh yay, I got some meaningless points for reading an email, I'm so excited. Riiiight.

  3. Fix Dark to Light Mode Email Compatability

    Please fix the Yahoo! email bug when forwarding an email from an account in dark mode, the text shows up as white in Yahoo! email accounts in white mode and can't be read.

  4. Make Unread emails a different color to Read emails. Bolding the text for Unread emails is not noticable enough at a glance.

  5. Stop inturupting me when I am reading my mail!

    I turned the streaks off but you are still interrupting me with these idiotic Achievements. I am not here to play games. Give me the option to TURN THIS **** OFF.

  6. Viewing Design: I liked prievious design bette, it was easier to read actual emails.

    Prior to recent changes I could read my emails much more clearly. Now there is the side bar, next to another sidebar (showing the inbox), the remaining area left to view the actual email seems much more cramped and smaller. Is there a way to get the old design restored

  7. Feedback of New Yahoo mail

    Lacking splits between dates.
    Lack of highlighting emails with a checkmark
    Lack of the varied color theme options of the previous format.
    Removal of the Reply All button.
    Points for doing things in the email is distracting, please give an option to disable it.

  8. How to remove the incredibly annoying-colored circles

    For ***** sake, how the **** can I ermove those idiotic colored circles in front of evey email?
    They are incredibly annoying and distracting, I want them GONE BUT IT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIGURE OUT HOW!!!

    This emial look sucks so bad I can't check email anymore arghhhhhh

  9. get rid of calander in the new mail UI!!! New UI, not good.

    I know where my calendar is, I do not need it in my primary mail view. I have stayed with Yahoo mail and pay for yahoo mail+ as I liked the interface. Now I do not. The colors are ugly. The lack of definition between the nav pane, email list and mail reading pane are almost nonresistant.

    I just may go back to Thunderbird, sigh. I have been contemplating Proton mail, and may need to check it out.

    Give me back the the old view, without the forced calendar.

  10. keep the folder siderbar permanently visible

    I have been using Yahoo Mail for many years and have organized my emails into numerous folders and subfolders.

    In the previous layout, I could always see my folders on the left side while reading and organizing emails. I could easily expand or collapse subfolders.

    The new design only shows icons and requires me to open a pop-up folder menu, making email management much less convenient.

    Please restore the option to keep the full folder sidebar permanently visible, including expandable and collapsible subfolders.

    i need to see my folders on the side not have to click a button for it to pop up in a small window... i need my folders back on the side!~~~~~~~~~~

  12. Hyperlinks to individual emails in webmail

    I use browser hyperlinks to individual webmail emails in my other apps and files/notes to track correspondence and other matters all the time. I rely heavily on this feature and you removed it, so now the links just go to the inbox (very very slowly) instead of the individual mails. Just a disaster. Fix it.

  15. Change it back!

    IWhat happened to the color options? This purple and white is ghastly and ******* my eyes if I'm in my mailbox for very long. It's also a disorganized mess!! These changes are not just...."I need to get used to new things" complaints, these are just sloppy poorly executed ideas. ugh. Yahoo mail is the worst!

  16. Yahoo Mail displays incorrect sender name in Sent emails

    My Yahoo Mail account recently started displaying my husband's name, Lawrence with our last name, instead of my name, Anne with our last name, whenever I open an email in my Sent folder.

    I have verified that:

    My Yahoo account profile correctly says Anne Gieseke.

    My sending name under Settings > Mailboxes is correct.

    The actual email header says From: Anne Gieseke.

    Recipients see my correct name.

    My contacts do not contain an entry for Lawrence Gieseke.

    The issue persists in Chrome Incognito mode.

    I have also changed my Yahoo password and enabled two-step verification.

    The moving or placing left side "panels" or "pallets" of lists is needed for quicker reference of synced emails.
    I recommend the ability of moving the list of synced email anywhere on the left verses having it "locked" in place down at the lower left now (like a foot note) in this newest email version. (the classic version it/they was/were located at upper left which made sense as a it was placed like a "header" or…

  18. Allow the browser's back button to work

    I log in, scroll down two pages worth of emails, see one I need to read, click the email. Once done, I then click the browser's Back button like I have for over 25 years... and I'm back at the top of my inbox instead of where I was.

  20. Reverting, of course. What else could it be and why?

    I can block up to 1,000 e-mail addresses. Yet, I can no longer block spam senders. So, why is there any capacity for blocking senders?

    I could keep several e-mail messages I needed to attend to open at once. Now, I can keep only a single message open.
