Allow an option to remove the possibility benching players
I've played fantasy baseball on Yahoo! since 2003. Our league has a core group but the majority of the league is a revolving door. The usual reason for quitting fantasy baseball is the daily logistics. We've explored weekly leagues but enjoy the flexibility if a manager wants to give his team more attention and make more frequent moves.
Last year we removed all bench spots to further reduce the daily burden. The problem is Yahoo! still allows a position player to be benched, even if we choose zero bench spots in the settings. This allows managers to sit pitches on the weekend if they reach their innings limit and are winning in categories like ERA and WHIP.
To keep the league ultra competitive we want to have an option to completely remove the possibility of benching players. In this scenario, if a manager is leading in ERA & WHIP on Sunday they would not be able to sit their player on Sunday. The manager would have to drop the pitcher if they did not want the pitcher's stats to count.
Thanks for the consideration!

I agree that if the league is configured for two bench spots there shouldn't be an unlimited option for bench players if someone wants to avoid playing someone and possibly hurting their stats. It would be nice if that was an option in the set up and the leagues could choose if they wanted this feature or not.

I don't think Know is trying to "force" every league in Yahoo to play by the suggested rules. As a commissioner, I get to choose the number of bench spots when setting up a league. If the commissioner sets the number to "zero" then there should be no bench spots - fairly plain and simple.
The reasons for a league having the desire to set bench spots as "zero" is varied. Our particular league that uses this feature is a 2nd fun league where we have added the strategy for owners to decide if they should keep a slumping or injured star player. We allow no bench nor DL spots. It is actually an intriguing way to play compared to our regular dynasty league.
So the request is about semantics - zero bench spots should mean none available at any time. If a league wants bench spots then the commissioner easily adjusts the setting which is available all year.

While this seems awful boring to me if you want to do this just lock the position changes every Friday...not sure why in a strategy game anyone would want to remove some of the strategy but there are ways for you to work this without forcing every league in Yahoo to play by those rules.
