What happened to sorting by sender? I used to use that to mass delete messages. Now it just sorts by date.

By scrapping the whole project and not allowing it to automatically make people use it. It isn't better. It's a considerably worse UI.
I didn't want to be switched to the newest version of yahoo. I'd already tried it, and went back to the old version. It's not good! It's difficult to find my mail that I actually want to read, and if I wanted to use google - I would. Stop trying to be google.
On top of that - now it won't show my mail past August 2024. It's December 2025!! Where did all of my mail from the past 16 months go? I needed access to those emails, not access to some spam I definitely already deleted, but here it…

Talked to a rep on your 800 line regarding slowness of email loading; said it was being worked on but no date given for completion
It'd be nice if the changes/improvement being done to yahoo email could be further communicated to yahoo users thru their email. Also, it'd also help if the reps on your 800 line were given a little more info regarding this process
as my rep was only able to say that it was being worked on and there was no definitive date for completion of "upgrade". Also, tips might be given (if available) to help speed up the email loading.1st ranked -

I spent days cleaning out my email because of storage issues and some how every freaking email came back. PLEASE TELL ME WHY?????

Fix the popup AI summary that blocks access to reply to emails.
I keep getting popups with an AI summary of the email, which prevents me from replying to the mail. I turned off the "dynamic" option for viewing emails but that has not fixed the problem. I could not find any other way to get help with this issue. Please advise. Thank you,

Easier to check incoming emails in the list of mailboxes
In the old version of Yahoo Mail, as soon as I opened the screen I could immediately see the list of mailboxes in the top left, with any incoming emails from the other mailboxes.
In the new version of Yahoo Mail this feature is no longer available: I have to scroll down the left sidebar to my account at the bottom left, hover the cursor over it, and only then see in the list of mailboxes whether there are any incoming emails.
It would be fantastic to have the same feature in the new version.

Allow user to put the time they want their event to me not your decision that every half hour is good
If you can't put in the correct time of the event it's not good for me. I may not remember that this calendar only lets you put in the half hour.

Yahoo theme
My account (sonical.7game@yahoo.com) is hard-locked to the legacy interface.
When I log in, the URL directs to mail.yahoo.com/d (Legacy Desktop).
My other accounts correctly load mail.yahoo.com/n (New/Modern Experience).
I have attempted to manually type https://mail.yahoo.com/n into the browser, but the server redirects me back to /d.
Please update my account attributes to allow access to the modern /n interface. I have attached screenshots showing the difference in interface and URL structure.

Remove Attachment from Sent Email
Hello,
I would like to request a feature that would significantly improve storage efficiency and email management in Yahoo Mail.
Currently, after sending an email with an attachment, it is not possible to remove only the attachment from the copy stored in the “Sent” folder while keeping:
- the original message headers (date, time, recipient, subject)
- the message body
- the original message ID
This functionality would be extremely useful for users who want to retain a verifiable record of the sent email while avoiding unnecessary long‑term storage of large attachments that are no longer needed.
