Unfortunately, you cannot revert back. We are only making the new one better. We know change is frustrating and hard but we really hope you'll give the new layout a fair chance.


WHAT'S NEW:
Calendar - We moved it from under "More" on the right hand side to it's own icon. Still on the right hand side, but it's now the first icon next to Starred and Contacts.

TIPS:
Disable Inbox Categories (All, Primary, etc) - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Inbox Categories.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Sort By Sender - This is still a sorting option, but you must disable Conversation view under your Settings. Then you will see "Sender name"
Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off

  2. Remove the margins which waste space on narrower devices; Allow 1st and 2nd columns to be made narrower

    The new mail is now unusable on my MacBook Air. The area for mail content is way too narrow.

  3. Space out the inbox by date, remove the bubble framing, return color options.

    Space out and divide the inbox by date. Also remove the bubble frame. It looks ugly. Bring back color options as well.

  4. Post as image

    I can no longer attach files, and then select "Post as Image" to have the image shown, rather than be an attachment at the bottom of the page. Please resurrect this, as I could previously send an images, with a description of each image beneath.

  5. new UI is unnecessarily clunky

    the change to webmail UI requiring hover over the account button to see or select additional mailboxes is so thoughtless I am likely to discontinue my yahoo account entirely. Yahoo mail up till now was the best webmail client to add gmail and outlook mailboxes, login and see immediately what new messages I had in each box. the clunky dysfunction of the UI change has killed this advantage and made it a chore to use. I will not likely continue my yahoo account if this is the path forward.

  7. Please highlight in bold messages that are not read

    Pretty simple. Yes, there are "dots" in front of messages that are not read, but other than that, they all look the same even the read messages. Can you please have unread messages in bold type as well as the "dots" so they are easier to distinguish? Thank you!!!

  8. Remove row lines in dark mode

    Remove the row lines between messages. The spreadsheet look in dark mode is really bad.

  9. I like to access direct to my ymail account rather than Yahoo Mail. I cant do this on my PCnow???

  10. Let me close that third panel (contacts, thumbtack, etc)

    In the inbox, I just want email info.

    There doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of that huge third panel, with contacts or whatever.

    I also want the email subject lines squished together vertically.

    As far as I'm concerned, this user interface is annoying. Do I want to revert? No. I just want you to have actually made an improvement, and this isn't improved.

  12. bring back the "block the senders" option in SPAM folder

    previously there was an option for mail found in the SPAM folder that allowed you to "block the sender". now the only option to block the senders email address is to manually type the address in the "Blocked addresses" in the "Security and privacy" section. It was so easy previously with that feature!!!!!!!!

  13. Display attachments above the new message - where they used to go before

    It is unhelpful to have to scroll to the bottom of a long series of messages, to find the attachment.
    In the old version, attachments were right there above the new message from someone, or were placed there when I added an attachment to my message.

  15. Large and wasted space! Move the menu bar back to the top. Let me see my folders in an open view

    This layout is so bad! Its like you are purposely making it so that we don't want to use it. I will likely move to gmail after having this account for over 30 years. The interface looked like it was designed for a preschool app. Its too large, it has a lot of wasted space, the menu bar to delete, forward, reply was moved from the top to the middle which is awful, and my folders are not viewable directly in the left hand menu, I have to click on the main folder to see them. Its so awful!

  20. Changing the fonts of the interface to a serif font

    Can I change the font of this interface. This sans-serif font is rough for me. Can we get a serif font such as Georgia Pro. The serif fonts are easier and quicker for me to read. This comment box is in times new roman, a serif font, but the whole yahoo mail interface is a blocky san-serif style. A few font options for the interface and reading panes would be excellent please.
