Collapse the righthand column
On desktop, the righthand column (Calendar, Starred, Contacts, Settings) takes up so much space, especially in a narrow browser window, that having the side-by-side message layout is basically unusable now. The message window is so narrow that many of my messages don't fit and have to side scroll, which is not ideal for reading. I never use the options in the righthand column, so there's just a big empty space that might as well be used for the message window. Collapse these icons when they're not being used, or even better: move them to the left column with everything else.

Orginal is superior.
Why can't we keep the original layout. You ARE NOT improving it. I'll be transitioning out of Yahoo -- pretty sad been using yahoo email since the 90's!

Have a basic/fallback client
Forcing the use of a feature incomplete browser is crazy, and then actively disabling the fallback is certifiably the dumbest thing I've ever seen. So despite having my primary e-mail here for decades, I'm investigating moving to another e-mail provider. This is Microsoft levels of incompetence.

Separators for day, week, month
It was easier to see what emails were received today, yesterday, earlier by month, etc. Now its all lumped together making it harder to tell whats new, or to locate an older email you need to look at

The old format was better. We could check 2 email accounts without jumping through hoops to get from one to the other.
Cox threw us under the bus when the sold out to yahoo and it only gets worse! Guess I'm too old for these
changes! Why can't things just remain the same! (I know, this is all a waste of time to say all of this!)71st ranked -
Keep "Select All" option for inbox always visable.
I cannot understand the reasoning why this basic feature was done away with. This is the reason I switched back to Basic Yahoo Mail. Now in order to select all of my emails I have to click the box next to an email to access the option for "select all" emails to be available. This has added an extra click/interaction cost that is absolutely unnecessary and has actively worsened the usability of Yahoo Mail. Please update this to allow this option to always be available.

Making so I can apply rules, or filters as you call them to emails in my inbox. Like I could before you forced this new ****** version.
In the classic version. I could select an email or multiple, then click a button at the top of the inbox and tell the system what to when emails from this sender, subject, etc. come in. No hunting for a setting or digging into a setting. Now I have to go to the more section, go into settings, click filters, then compose the filter with no help or connection back to the email sitting in my inbox to reference. It makes it even harder that I can't see the email/inbox while doing this. I've only been using the new version…

Add categories to search filter
I was trying to search emails from a sender in the Trash folder. I used to be able to search by sender and then click on the folder to do the search. The folder filter is no longer there. Now I have to go to the trash folder and then type in the sender. This doesn't work if I forgot who the sender was.

it was easier to see read vs unread emails before
as title says it was easier to see read vs unread emails before. Maybe the new look is fine for young people with 20 20 vision but please remember not all uses have 20 20 vision and probably more users are older than the dev team, than younger

Le us make pics small or large in an email to send. I can't figure it out now. They are too big to download as a profile pic.
It's time to switch email carriers. It is way too confusing. All the simple things like minimizing a pic, deleting a video. Why couldn't we keep our old email? I will check into a new one.I guess.

Give me font options for incoming ** mail. Seniors & visually impaired need better font choices. . Does Yahoo care about seniors???
Offer bold fonts like Ariel Black for incoming mail. Seniors and visually impared need darker and larger fons for reading mail. We use ZOOM to magnify but that doesn't fix the ****** font yahoo is using. for INCOMING MAIL.

Make the trash can icon stand out more
Please make the trash can icon stand out more. Deleting an email is the most important and most frequent thing we do. That icon needs to stand out from the others. Currently, it is buried in the middle of many other less important icons. This makes it difficult to find, not intuitive to delete an email, and easy to accidentally click on another icon by mistake.

Changes are a failed attempt to impresss your users.
Where are my contacts? This is a real disappointment on the part of Yahoo, not allowing the choice to revert back to what works. I'm the secretary of a good sized organization at I can't sent out the monthly bulletin. Are you making changes just to keep up with Google?

Message Subject
When I hover over a message, a toolbar covers partially the subject. But on very wide screens and if Unsubscribe button is not displayed, I sometimes still can see the subject. I think you can expand the toolbar to cover more, perhaps everything except the checkbox. Although, if you cover the checkbox too it will be even less usable. You decide. But definitely obscure more, this is too easy.
