Divide inbox by weeks and years
Please go back to dividing emails in the inbox by "Last week," "Earlier," etc, and by year if applicable. It's more manageable than having everything in one long string of emails in the inbox.

New yahoo Mail app
Wow!!! The stupidity of the person(s) who felt this new app was a good idea is absolutely astounding!!! This is poorly conceived and horribly executed. I'll decide what my primary mail is- NOT YOU!! This is a significant downgrade and yet another prime example of people overthinking and fixing that which is not broken. I hope you quickly realize how badly you screwed up and revert back to what you had prior

Email
I am unable to see the full email address of the sender when the email is too long. This is very convenient for scammers to scam users with a long email that looks like official emails

actually provide an accurate system
Your moronic new system indicates there is one new message however, when one refreshes the inbox, none are listed.
One then opens the "unread" folder and your system indicates there are no unread messages however, it then shows the unread message.
one can then read the unread message and the message indicator showing 1 disappears.
For all the money Yahoo has, is there a special reason you hire IT people who insist on changing things for the worse?71st ranked -
I need to see the number of unread emails in my inbox all the time.
I freaking hate everything about this version of Yahoo. I have had this email account since 2001 and if I wanted another outlook account I would have transfered my address over a long time ago. The fact that I cannot customize my experience to meet my needs is frustrating and insulting. The newest frustration is the iinability to reexpand the stupid left side panel in order to see the number of unread emails in my inbox. I was able to expand it once, but it just collapsed again and there are no good instructions on how to reexpand it. There…

Congratulations
Well done—after 24 years with Yahoo, you’ve managed the feat of driving me to switch to Gmail. I truly hope you end up shutting down for good. That’s what you deserve for getting rid of the classic email interface.

Allow me to expand the folders list so it is always viewable
This is not a new request. Put back the ability to view all of the folders and their unread counts. Out of sight out of mind. I need to see my folders. Put that back or add it to settings so I can set it.

Where is my count of unread messages next to the folder?
This is not a new idea. Put the count of unread messages back next to the folder.

Can I please download from recent emails
In the old format, I could download from recent emails, which was much more efficient than downloading everything I wanted to attach to an email.

GET RID OF THE POPUP CHALLENGES
I am not here to play games; I am here to do work, and they are getting in the way of that, slowing me down, and upsetting me. I have used Yahoo Mail for over 20 years, but it may be time to move over to Gmail if this service cannot take itself seriously.

Opening emails doesn't mark them as read.
I have a great idea, how about when I read an email, it marks it as read? At the moment, I have to click the dot next to it to mark it as read, which is ironic, since actually reading it doesn't make it count as read.
I can't believe I need to suggest this. This was possible 20+ years ago when I first made the account. Let us choose to go back to the working mailbox.

Get rid of the achievements, they slow down productivity.
Why are we gamifying my deleting emails? It forces me to make extra clicks to keep going, wasting my time, slowing me down, and distracting me.
Are you trying to make this hostile to working people? Can you please get ideas from somewhere other than the unpaid intern?

The new layout is unusable
The new mail box view and the design is pretty much unusable in my 13inch macbook pro. I dont know what you folks are doing. its very frustrating. I had a compact view and readable area on the side pane to view email content. currently, I have a large white space and 3 panels with one (ads) and I can't upgrade anyways for some reason.
can someone fix it? My yahoo email is primary for me and its frustrating to see such visual and design changes that do not work for users

The unread email numbers aren't immediately updating in the other mailboxes when you hover to look at them.
The New Emails counters aren't updated after reading what is inside them immediately, like they used to. It keeps showing I have unread emails when I already read them.
Did you have literally anyone test these basic systems before forcing a rollout? This was literally possible 20 years ago (and last week). Why do you keep trying to break what isn't broken?

Put the mailboxes back on the left where all the space is.
I can't see at a glance whether or not my other mailboxes have mail. Put them back on the left in the empty space rather than having to hover over them. Stop making designs hostile to the user, or let us go back to the one that worked.

Usability Feedback: Critical issues with the new Yahoo Mail interface
Dear Yahoo Mail Team,I am writing to express my strong frustration with the recent updates to Yahoo Mail. Instead of improving functionality, the redesign adds excessive clutter, disruptive UI elements, and frustrating limitations that make basic email management a chore.
Below is a list of the major usability issues making the platform difficult to use:
Intrusive "Streak" Popups: Notifications celebrating that I have checked my email "X days in a row" are completely unnecessary. Gamifying a basic communication tool adds zero value, interrupts my workflow, and forces me to manually dismiss unwanted popups.
Distracting Avatar Circles: The colored circles placed…

Ads in the mailbox
In the old mailbox, it was easy to spot ads in the email list. Now, I keep clicking on them because it is hard to tell them apart, and I keep getting redirected to ad websites. Is there a way to make them appear as ads rather than emails?
Thanks

emails are not present
RETURN this mess to some sort of functionality, absolute trainwreck. I have to use other means than website to actually see emails. STOP trying to be 'cutesy' and fix this idiotic mess.
