At least group the emails by date
The classic view grouped the emails by date making it easier to hone in on a particular email. Now emails are sorted by date, but no grouping of those messages. This would make it easier to navigate through this new view, although I am not enamored by this change in the first place. The classic view was much easier to navigate. Now need to go through more clicks to do anything. No one was asked whether it was a good idea to change the view in the first place.

move the trash can at the top to the far right
when I am in this new ugly mail, you move the upper trash can to the far left, and I have to correct as I am use to going to my upper right. And when in the trash if I am looking for something I put in there, I use to be able to select and hit return to delete now I have to move to the red delete button and that is an extra step

It does not give options to change and arrange the list order. just 2 generic options (by first name and last name) but even when I change the name of what the list is called it does not move it in the new order. I am trying to clean it up and it should def be an easy feature.

Too much screen used for advertising .. Mail screen size reduced too much.
I log on to read Emails not to have the email reading area the same size as your advertising screen.
Makes it hard to read important info. in emails.. Could not minimize advertising screen..
NOW email group at bottom of screen not top?? WHY??? Now have to adjust screen focus making email details smaller to read. or miss half the email page.

Not an idea but a request

I have used Yahoo mail for over 20 years and have never had a real problem with it until I was changed over to this "new and improved" model of mail. There is an option to change from dark to light, but nothing that visually seperates the different boxes except a hair's width of a line surrounding each. It appears to be about half…

More separation between Folder Name and Subject columns
Could you please put more space between the Folder column and the Subject column when view the "Unread" email list? They run together too closely to make them easily readable.

This is a necessity!!!!
Sending emails to SPAM is useless as the spam folder just fills up with recuring emails from spammers!
Bring back the ability to block emails!Opening up a spam email to block it allows the spammer access to the computer while you are trying to block them - how stupid can you be! Give the spammer access to the computer so you can block them!!!!

I keep clicking on an email title and find I've unsubscribed-it's much too easy to do that and I hate the new format. It's much too white and can't stand it. May end up having to leave it.

Email select checkbox location over icon
Please move the checkbox to select an email away from the sender icon. Your current setting may look more compact to you, but it is difficult to quickly assess which emails the user has checked for deletion with the purple checkbox when some of the sender icons are purple circles. Please move the checkboxes farther to the left so they are not coincident with the sender icons.

the email preview box is so small i am unable to even read messages without significant effort. the list of emails is wider than the preview box and there is an add box on the right side just as big as the email preview. if this does not change i will no longer be using yahoo.

Fix
The click options (delete, move, mark as spam, etc) all disappear after each message is deleted. This unless I'm selecting all of them at once, which is a slippery slope because the tick box is very small and I cannot say how many times I've accidentally deselected 80 emails by missing it, I have to jiggle the mouse to wake up the options again. Again, frustrating we had to go over to a new UI when the old one was actually quite good, even with the distracting ads.

Package deliveries
The new Yahoo email version does NOT include the notice that an Amazon item is on its way. PLEASE go back to the previous Yahoo email version. This latest Yahoo email version has absolutely NO improvements to it, and is far inferior to the previous version.
