How can we make Fantasy Football better?

Point shaving(intentionally tanking).

There needs to be some form of points penalty for empty roster spots for teams. Teams will leave open those spots for certain other teams to have ability to win. That affects the entire league for trying to make the playoffs with wins and losses being that percentage points makes a difference if a team makes the playoffs when tied with another. A minimum of minus 30 points per empty spot not filled to play should be deducted. Could this change come into affect immediately for 2018 fantasy season? The name of our fantasy league is DaBoot. It is not a rule in yahoo fantasy league to penalize for point shaving. This rule needs to be implemented. We are the hardest fantasy league around and we do not want it to be easy. Could we get an invite for 2019 on Labor Day night to do a live fantasy draft nationally televised at 9pm central standard time?

Sorry, my comment actually was to address the opposite. (people who leave open roster spots that expect to win anyway but don't want to lose player or chance negative points by defense) Not sure how to address the tanking issue?? Again, sportsmanship related.

Leaving open positions, for whatever reason, should be considered an illegal lineup. Score = 0; or considered a forfeit. It was a rule in some games way back when. Now just considered bad sportsmanship without much recourse. Bring back the rule.

You can alter points as the commish. If need be you could manually put a -30pt deduction on a team before games start. But if the team is purposely "tanking" wouldn't a point deduction help their cause?
