Change the Prize Eligibility Standards!!!
You should not have to make a draft pick in order to be eligible for a prize. Sometimes things come up, emergencies happen, and such was the case when I had to miss a draft at the last moment. Despite having a roster that was Autodrafted for me in a salary cap league no less, I was able to actually WIN my league, but received no payout due to Yahoo's absurd totalitarians rules governing prize eligibility.
