Create options to turn off keyboard shortcuts and identify Primary/non-Primary messages
Dear Yahoo email team,
I like the new version overall but have a couple of feature requests:
PLEASE make it possible to turn off the keyboard shortcuts. When I am writing a message, the compose tool is frequently thinking that I want to delete a message or simply takes me out of a message entirely for reasons I don't know. My guess is that I am bumping the control key when I am reaching for shift but I am not sure that is the reason. Anyway, I hardly ever use the shortcuts anyway. If I could just turn them off…

Visible indication of email fetched.
Used to be, there was a progress bar when the inboxx was clicked, to show mail being fetched. Ok, it was false. But I liked it. Bring it back.

Move the hover actions to the left
In the previous UI two actions that I use a lot (star and mark as read) were very conveniently towards the beginning of the email list and their respective buttons (the empty/full star and the little blue dot) were always present on the screen so I would directly point at them to click.
Now there are two UI downgrades:
1. the actions are now hidden until I hover on that email - which means I first need to hover, then observe where the little actions box show up, locate the icons I want, point and click; previously the buttons were…62nd ranked -

Read email hard to visually spot
I see the "read" indicator has been reduced to a bare dot on the far left. For those of us with large screens it really helps if the "read" indicator go across the screen. It used to be a read email would go from a slightly lighter black to a true black. Having to track back all the way back isn't working. At least bold/normal text for the subject/body summary. Just the dot on the left is poor visually.

file name of attachment
I sometimes receive emails with Attached files, and it's important for me to easily read the Full File name of the attached files, and I'd like to do this w/o opening the file.
For example, if I am working on a project with someone and they are sending me attachments with file names that have a rev number in them or other information in the file name that gives me information on the file. I don't see anyway to view the full file name except by downloading the file. I would like to be able to hover my cursor over…50th ranked -
Profile Picture Issues
I have struggled for years to get my profile picture to change. I have installed, deleted, and reinstalled the app. I have changed it on several desktops/laptops. It shows on my end that it is updated, but when I send mail it shows the old picture. This is an ongoing issue that needs to be addressed.

Color coding email beyond just star.
Would be great if I had the ability to flag / star using different categories (think Outlook Calendar color-coding).

Have differnt Star Colors
I was thinking it would be great if the user could change the star color from just red. I personally star a tone of emails but they are for different things like work, purchase orders, medical and so on. So for example, I could star my work emails with a yellow star and for medical a blue star and so on. Just food for thought.

Use Thinderbird to access and open emails
I have to be able to open the emails with Thunderbird. I have to save the emails to my computer so they can be accessed when I don't have internet access. I have to be able to save and search by date. If I can't use Thunderbird, then this email address is completely and totally useless.

Copy Paste is broken on older browser.
Worked fine before but not on the new mail app. Nothing can be selected or copied in any mail or anywhere on the page .. No selection is made with the mouse, it appears to be a broke UI element .. I can copy on the reply, but not if I close and open the draft again, ... it looks like it is disabled almost everywhere ... Crazy consider one of the ting you do is copy data from email, no I have to reply, view raw or print to copy the information ... anywhere else on the interface does…

Remove Yahoo Scout
I received an email that said my son was dead because your AI is so flawed!! Imagine getting an email from your childs school and the giant headline is your childs name passing and describing how they trragically passed away! This is not acceptable. My wife was hysterical,This is not OK!!
It was an email from the school about a student that passed away and it was regarding my son because he was in the same class and that is what Yahoo Scout created.62nd ranked -
Contact alphabetizing - first or last name always changes back to first name!!!!!!!
Please instruct me how to maintain LAST NAME selection! It reverts to first name in minutes after I select last!!!!

Download file - open in new tab
When i try to download an attachment in the new yahoo, the tab navigates to some kind of tokenized page for the real attachment to finally load in another new tab. the current tab loses the back button feature and the only way i know is to type the mail.yahoo.com back in the browser url.
Either find a way to process this token exchange without navigatng away from the page OR allow a middle click to opn this operation in a new tab.

Customizable buttons
please, make available the possibility to change the order the fast buttons command over the message ....for example, I use frequently the button "archive", but I have to find in the menu because is not immediately available.... maybe you can do a customizable function for the buttons. I search for one topic and the tab in the bubble at the top repeated that search 20 times!!
I love the multi tab option, as I often go back to previous emails, but when I search the "tabs" (really bubbles) for one search seem to multiply...20 copies of one!! This makes it hard to see other tabs. Please fix.

Small calendar in left pane should advance by a year when using the arrows
In the previous version of Calendar, clicking on the arrows of the small calendar in the left pane would advance the view of that calendar by a year. Now, it only advances to the next month. The main calendar already does that. It was much more useful to have the little calendar advance by a year. Please return to that functionality.
