Unfortunately, you cannot revert back. We are only making the new one better. We know change is frustrating and hard but we really hope you'll give the new layout a fair chance.


WHAT'S NEW:
Calendar - We moved it from under "More" on the right hand side to it's own icon. Still on the right hand side, but it's now the first icon next to Starred and Contacts.

TIPS:
Disable Inbox Categories (All, Primary, etc) - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Inbox Categories.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Sort By Sender - This is still a sorting option, but you must disable Conversation view under your Settings. Then you will see "Sender name"
Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off

    SPAM, FAR TOO MUCH OF IT. NO OBVIOUS MEANS TO BLOCK THE SENDERS THIS IS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

  2. Message Window Too Small

    Each email message has too big of a heading area (summary) at the top and the body of the message is way too small. I can't stand this new layout.

  3. Icons are to big

    It means i have to scroll more, it all looks rather childish. Please allow us to disable email senders icons. You're increasingly making Yahoo annoying to use.

  4. Return to plain font that is easier to read and make read and unread emails easier to see

    Remove icons on the left, they are cluttering the view.

  6. Let us have the old one back

    Change is not always necessary. Some things can and should be left alone. Don't always feel like you need to reinvent yourself. You can always give people options instead of forcing them to accept something YOU think is better. I'm sad my old inbox is gone. Now, I just don't like you as much.

  8. Go Back To OLD UI

    I am sorry but your new interface looks like my child's play computer. its big, its bulky and frankly it not attractive at all.

    The layout is just not good, the features introduced are actually not needed nor wanted. I understand that most people get yahoo mail for free, I pay although not a significant amount but still I pay. What I see with this "new yahoo mail", it was clearly made by someone who does not use it. I suspect your developers use GMail.

  9. One single setting to disable all gamification

    I can't believe I have to actually describe this, but instead of making a user dig through various menus to turn off individual portions of the gamification "features," there should be one simple OPT-IN setting to turn on/off all gamification features in yahoo mail.

  11. New E-mail Sucks Balls

  12. Toggle to remove Starred Emails pane

    The Starred Emails pane eats valuable screen real estate. I'm glad I can minimize it but the fact that I have to minimize it every time I visit yahoo mail is insanely bad UX. Opening and closing the pane should be a persisted state, and a user should be able to toggle it entirely Off as well.

    Additionally, there should be ONE toggle to permanently de-gamify yahoo mail. Infuriating.

  13. Converting to Gmail after nearly 30 years

    Well, Yahoo! finally forced me to pull the plug on their email product. Your new web email interface with nearly zero controls is the final straw in a long line of shortening straws. The amount of dead white space is maddening. This does not scale on a 13 or 15" monitor. A very shameful UX experience. Have no idea who you used for UX testing but boy, did they fail completely.

  15. Manage adverts better

    My inbox is full of the same advert from the same company. 10+ messages and they can't be blocked or deleted.

  16. I can no longer preview images in an email

    Previously, when I would hover over the small square image icon in my email list, I could see a preview of the attachment without opening the email. Now, when I attempt to do that, I get a pop up with the Delete button right over the image icon, making it unclickable. Very bad design.

  19. Fix Email

    Please make customization of how the new (awful) email appears on-screen have a greater number of options. Both the "light" and "dark" options are poor for us BOOMERS. We need higher contrast and I used to be able to change areas to best suit ME - THE USER.
