This is a lousy layout and nothing is easy to identify. There is no clear separation of emails. I'm thinking about using my husband's gmail
I want my email titles to pop out and I don't give a **** about the ads . I want a separation and, if I don't want something I delete it. This really is one of your stupidest "improvements"

Size of columns and messages
Terrible look compared to original. Looks like a cartoon. Old style was easy to read and crisp layout. Sad that this was the best you could come up with. Change is ok when it makes sense or actually improves the product. This change failed miserably.

Better distinction between read and unread emails in dark mode.
Could you please make unread messages in a folder stand out more from read messages ? On dark mode it is very hard to tell the difference.

Block Spam
Restore the feature to block SPAM emails. I can no longer see a way to block spam emails when deleting them since the upgrade.

Restore the feature to "Block" spam emails
Before you introduced the latest email changes you could select an email in Spam and select "Block" to delete the email and block future emails from that sender. You have removed the "Block" feature so please can it be restored as it should cut down on the amount of Spam generated from the same email address.

Graphical & advertisemental
The advertisement section can't be contracted and it is consuming unnecessary space. The entire outlook is so frustrating. This is the worst graphical outlook till date. The colors also can't be changed as it could be earlier.

Block Address in Spam
There used to be an option in the Spam folder, where under the three dots on the right, there was an option to Block Email Address. This was very helpful and I used it. Now this has disappeared and you have to go to More, then Security, then laboriously add each email address and save it. Please bring back the easier 'block address' option to automate this. Also, I'm worried by the limit of 1000 addresses, I'm already on 860. Thanks.

Pleas for desktop color themes to return
The help chat bot suggested the following. I use Yahoo on desktop only. I REALLY want the color themes back :(

Blocking senders is unavailable!...
Marking as spam does NOT do exacrly what unblocking sender does as you described previously.! So you are lying to your account owners!.. The same sender posts still come even marked as spam! What is going on there!....

Navigate within an email using arrow keys on a PC keyboard
It's simple: once you click somewhere in the body of a received email, use the up and down arrow keys to scroll through the email. Having to continually move the bar to scroll is really inconvenient.

The old yahoo allowed sorting alphabetically, which was the best feature.
Bring back sorting alphabetically. It should have been a no brainer to include it with the update.

Appearance complaint!!
Options you gave me here wasn't what I was looking for! So I picked Notes. Pfft. I was looking for appearance.
Anyways, I hated the pill buttons. I put up with it for awhile and wow, I never liked it. I like square design much better. Why change that? Why not give us option what we like, like how we do with picking colors or font sizes, etc.?70th ranked -

Why since you've altered yahoo mail can i only block senders in my emails but i can't block them in spam, surely it should be the other way round like it was before.

"Block Sender & Delete" should be a part of Spam Processing as it was in Old Email

I see today (10/31/26) that "Block Sender and Delete" has been added to Inbox processing options, but it should also be added to Spam Processing, as it was in the Old Email.
I think the Natural Processing flow for Unwanted Emails, aside from "Unsubscribe after Opening", is to 1st mark the Unwanted email as Spam. From Spam, one could then decide to also Block as well as Delete. That's what the flow was in the Old Email System.

Restore column width options
In the New Yahoo the email list column width is too restricted when in the die by side preview window. This leaves the preview window larger than it needs to be and the email list column too narrow to read full subject lines or topics. In the classic yahoo. the column width could be made wider than in new yahoo. This, coupled with the inability to shrink the folder column or the column that has nothing on the right side of screen makes for an inferior experience
