Welcome to the new Yahoo Mail Desktop experience! This is a place for you to help shape the redesign. We review the most popular, feasible ideas from this forum to make positive changes to your Yahoo Mail.

Unfortunately, you cannot revert back. We are only making the new one better. We know change is frustrating and hard but we really hope you'll give the new layout a fair chance.



WHAT'S NEW:
Calendar - We moved it from under "More" on the right hand side to it's own icon. Still on the right hand side, but it's now the first icon next to Starred and Contacts.

TIPS:
Disable Inbox Categories (All, Primary, etc) - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Inbox Categories.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Sort By Sender - This is still a sorting option, but you must disable Conversation view under your Settings. Then you will see "Sender name"
Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off
Unread Count - You can hover over "Inbox" to see the Unread count or you can expand the left hand column and Unread will be in the column below Inbox with the unread count. No hovering.

  1. ALLOW TO RETURN TO YAHOO EMAIL OLD VERSION / Classic view.

    Yahoo Mail's new interface NEW VERSION is a major downgrade—we need an option to switch back to Classic view.

  2. Add the filter creation method used in the old version. Just right click on the email to make a new filter

    Seems you have made it 10 times harder to create a filter, use to be simple but you blew it. So far I think the new yahoo mail is not an improvement

    THE SEXUALLY ABUSIVE SPAMS OF ******* SHOULD BE AGAINST THE LAW!! I AM SICK & TIRED OF FEELING LIKE A VICTIM WHEN I OPEN ALL THE SPAMS. SO AFTER 40 YEARS I AM FINALLY GOING TO GET REST. YAHOO VIRUSES HAVE EMPTIED MY FOLDERS TWICE!! ALOT OF LEGAL FORMS I CANNOT REPLACE BESIDES ALL YOUR ADDS THREATENING THE VERY PEOPLE THAT BUILT YOUR EMAIL. YAHOO HAS NO PROTECTION WHILE GMAIL DOES. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES PUTTING MONEY BEFORE PRIVACY.

  7. HELP

    It would be really, really nice and very kind of your company if you would provide support for your clients. Try as I might, I am not getting emails from subscription services. or maybe I'm not getting ANY emails as I've only received 2 since the middle of September.
    There seems to be NO way to get help from your corporation. I have used YAHOO mail for decades, and it is my preferred email platform. BUT if this can't get resolved, I will switch to another platform.

  8. WHY??? Just WHY???

    Why does Yahoo insist on changing the inbox??? It is getting more and more cluttered, more wasted space, more annoying. EVERY time it is done, I move MORE of my emails to Gmail. Soon I won't even need Yahoo, other than a place to send my junk email to.

    I have never heard of a mistake that can not be undone. If that's the excuse for not allowing users to "revert" to basic email, it's time to start looking into other email servers.

  14. Please Reverse Changes to Yahoo Calendar

    I have been using the Yahoo Calendar for many years. I use it primarily for reminders and travel planning. It was extremely helpful. I could view each month at a glance and easily flip to years or months in the future to make entries. With the recent changes, however, it is much more difficult to navigate to different months or to read the various entries, which are now curtailed. I am not at all averse to changes when they are an improvement, but the recent changes to your calendar are horrible! PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS!

    YOUR NEW YAHOO SUCKS BIG TIME. IM TRYING TO DELETE SOME OF MY EMAILS & WHEN I HIGHLIGHT THE BOX, THERE IS NO TRASH ON THE TOP LINE LIKE THERE IS SUPPOSED TO. WHOS BRIGHT IDEA WAS IT TO CHANGE THE SIGHT, DO ME A FAVOR & FIRE THAT PERSON BECAUSE THEY HAVE THEIR HEAD UP THEIR ***.

    How to turn off picture icons in inbox emails like it was on the classic version , its very bad on my eyes and it looks so cluttered , make it more user friendly not more complicated forthing things down my throat !!

    To Yahoo Customer Relations / Product Feedback Team,
    I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the recent, disastrous update to the Yahoo Mail desktop interface. The current layout is completely unfit for purpose and has fundamentally broken basic email management.
    Due to the aggressive placement of advertisements and a deeply flawed interface redesign, my essential folders have completely disappeared from the left-hand sidebar. Furthermore, attempting to print emails or documents to PDF routinely forces intrusive background elements onto the page, rendering standard document formatting…

  19. Bring back the classic Yahoo mail

    I hate the new look of Yahoo. It is far less usable, and less organized. It was not a smart decision at all to switch and cancel it. It is frankly disgusting and words I won't write here to spare whoever reads this. The old style needs to be brought back, this is horrible.
