WHAT'S NEW?
Search by Sender - Just hover over the sender's profile image and a spyglass icon will appear where you can search all emails by that sender.
Multi-Tasking Tabs - Like before, open an email in a new tab.
AI Summaries - Ability to disable. Go to Settings > AI Features > Toggle Off
Number of Total Messages - Hover over the Inbox Icon and you will see both total number of messages and unread.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.

Resize Images - Resize an image within the message.
Inbox Categories - Default to "All" category instead of always Priority.

TIPS:
Inbox Categories - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Personalize Inbox.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Dark Mode - Go to Settings > Appearance.

  1. Emails keep jumping back to the top

    After performing an action on an email (read or delete), the inbox view automatically refreshes and scrolls back to the top of the message list (oldest/newest, depending on sort). This behavior forces me to manually scroll down again to find my previous position, which disrupts workflow and is both inefficient and time-consuming.

    Is there a setting or configuration option to persist scroll position in the inbox so that the view doesn’t reset after each action?

  2. Deleting mail should not take you back to top of the list

    When clicking in the trash can item on the list of emails (web version new ui), it deletes the email but it takes you back to the top of the list. So to check the next email, I have to scroll down the list to find where I am. I will probably delete the next email, which then takes me back to the top of the list and I have to scroll again. This endeless scrolling when cleaning mail emails are very annoying.

  3. email drafts disappearing as I type??

    Why are my email drafts suddenly disappearing as I type them? They suddenly vanish and can't be found anywhere in the system??
    Where are they going????? They just get deleted and can't be recalled. Is there a way to search and find deleted rafts?

  4. After you respond to an email top header crashes into next line

    Is not an idea. You have to fix this issue. As soon as you reply to an email the search box crashes into the top of the email header. There is no way you have not noticed it. Also, I can not scroll down more than 20 emails without it kicking me right back to the last email. Like if I need to find an old email from a few days ago I cant. It has been a pain.

  5. Sorter does not work

    Your sorter does not work on yahoo.com. I can hit newest, then by sender and it will not sort. Seems like a basic thing that should be working properly. Hard to clean up emails when can't do that.

  6. Duplicated Attachments

    This is NOT an idea. This is a BUG in the product. When you send an attachment it is duplicating the attached files. For instance, I sent 8 files attached (pdf, xls) and when I see the sent message, it duplicated 8 files to 16 files. This is a basic functionality for an email.

  7. Bug report: deleting draft forward email, deletes the original email too

    This is a bug report with the "forward" and "draft" feature.
    When I delete a "draft" email that is a draft "forward", it also deletes the original email.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Open an email
    2. Press the "forward" button
    3. A "new message" will appear with the forwarded email
    4. Close the app, or go back, or navigate out. Any of these actions will save your mail as a "draft"
    5. Open your drafts
    6. Delete the new message that is a "forward". Confirm that you want to delete this "draft" email.
    7. Check your inbox

  8. Scroll bar does not work right for moving messages to folders when starting from one message that is being read

    The scroll bar to move down the list of folders does not work right when moving a message to a folder, but this problem only happens when I'm starting from one message being read.

    Everything is okay if I start from the message list.

    Basically, the scroll bar only scrolls within the window. This makes it hard to reach the folder I want, especially since I have a large number of folders.

  9. automatically refresh and sends me back to the beginning.

    when scrolling through messages the yahoo mail page suddenly seems to automatically refresh and sends me back to the beginning. This happens every 10 to 30 seconds making it difficult to go through the emails

    I changed my signature several days ago and the new signature shows on the settings page. But when I compose an email the old signature still shows.

    I tried to go through help, but it wouldn't let me proceed.

  11. external images

    Even though I have external images disabled in my settings, webmail (I'm using Firefox) is displaying those images anyway, with a message saying that they are shown by default, along with a link to the the settings. I've tried changing the setting back and forth just in case, and it still doesn't work.

    This has only started happening with the recent site redesign.

    In Dark Mode, links in a mail's text are not highlighted in color, but in the same color as the rest of the text.

    Links which are not underlined are not recognizable as links.

    It seems that all my old emails now have the attachments duplicated. For example if the original email had attachment X, attachment Y, and attachment Z it now still has those been then it also has a second copy of attachment X, attachment, Y and attachment Z. This has just seemed to start happening in the last few weeks and I do not understand why. I have had the free yahoo mail service for almost 20 years and recently noticed that yahoo mail is now putting storage limits on this account type and wanting those with large amounts of data…

  14. DARK MODE WHILE COMPOSING IS HORRIBLE!

    I wanted to share some feedback regarding an issue I’ve encountered while using Yahoo Mail in dark mode.

    When I compose an email with dark mode enabled, the editor displays white text on a dark background, which looks fine while drafting. However, I recently noticed that when the email is sent, the text remains white. As a result, recipients with the default white background cannot see the text unless they highlight it.

    Please program a language translation feature for translating emails received in other languages. For example --- If I make a reservation for a hotel in Mexico and receive a message in Spanish, I would like to be able to have the program translate the message to English. At present, I have to forward the message to a Google account to make that possible.

  16. MOVE option not working

    I receive messages from EBAY concerning automatic searches I have set up with them Most of these correctly go to the OFFERS folder but some go to PRIORITY. I select the message in PRIORITY and clicked on MOVE, select MORE OPTIONS. change the pull-down menu to OFFERS and click the MOVE button. The message disappears from PRIORITY. When I click to OFFERS folder, that message from EBAY is not there. I checked the other folder and it is not in either of them. If I go back to the PRIORITY folder, the EBAY message is there.

  17. Delete By Sender

    Yahoo really needs a "sweep" function. I am sure I don't need to describe it, but it allows you to select one or more emails and "sweep" them to a folder, or delete. It removes all emails in the inbox from those specific senders and places them where you select instead of having to do it one by one or clicking beside each email.   18. Feature Request: Follow-Up Reminders in Yahoo Mail

    Dear Yahoo Mail Team,

    I’d like to suggest a useful feature that could enhance Yahoo Mail's functionality: follow-up reminders for emails. Gmail has an option that automatically reminds users to follow up on emails they haven't received replies to, helping to ensure important conversations don’t get lost.

    A similar feature in Yahoo Mail would be incredibly beneficial for users who manage busy inboxes and need a prompt to revisit unanswered emails. Having a built-in follow-up reminder would improve email organization and efficiency.

  19. restore deleted draft

    My computer has been acting up the last few days and has been deleting drafts while I am typing them which only frustrating because when a draft email is deleted it is deleted permanently and the yahoo website says it cannot be restored. Can we please change this setting so that a draft email goes into the trash rather than being permanently deleted? Its extremely frustrating to be halfway through a one page email with a lot of detail to then have it be completely deleted.
