Unfortunately, you cannot revert back. We are only making the new one better. We know change is frustrating and hard but we really hope you'll give the new layout a fair chance.


WHAT'S NEW:
Calendar - We moved it from under "More" on the right hand side to it's own icon. Still on the right hand side, but it's now the first icon next to Starred and Contacts.

TIPS:
Disable Inbox Categories (All, Primary, etc) - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Inbox Categories.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Sort By Sender - This is still a sorting option, but you must disable Conversation view under your Settings. Then you will see "Sender name"
Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off

  1. Layout degraded

    The latest "update" has once again reduced the viewable area. All I want is to be able to see the most rows of emails, without clutter and "pretty" borders. Please consider an optional "minimalist" layout.

  2. show me my folders!!!!!!

    i hate having my folders hidden! i have a gazillion filters that send things to folders and I need to see if there are new items in there WITHOUT clicking through - you took a useful feature and pooped on it

  3. Some way to search for emails just within the Inbox, and still having the option to search all emails.

    The old Yahoo email had the option to search just withing the Inbox through the option to select the folder to search in advanced options. I do not see folders in the advanced search options any more. I was told that a search can be limited to a particular folder by clicking into that folder first. This does not work with the Inbox. However, I would still like the ability to search all the Inbox and all folders as well.

  4. Can't change email address in reply emails

    I just had an email that I was replying to, and I wanted to change my outgoing email account, but I could find no way to do this. I had to copy the email text, open a new outgoing email, and then change the email. It seems like an easy fix if you could add a way to change the outgoing email address in the reply area.

  5. Lost my email text when I switched to Plain Text

    I just wrote an email and wanted to switch to Plain Text and all the text disappeared so I am forced to recreate the email. Please fix this problem!

  6. What happened to the option to move photos from the email to the bottom?

    I need to move photos that are embedded in an email I am composing, to the bottom. I used to be able to hover over it and pick "move to bottom". Please return this ASAP!!!

  8. Yahoo Mail displays incorrect sender names

    Yahoo Mail is displaying the wrong sender names on my MorphMarket emails. The original email headers contain the correct buyer names, but Yahoo replaces them with "BADD Reptiles (Doug Aldrich)." This happens with multiple unrelated buyers using inquiry@messages.morphmarket.com.

    I have checked my contacts, disabled Enhanced Contacts and conversation grouping, and tested in Chrome Incognito. Nothing fixes the problem.

    Please investigate and correct the sender-name association for this email address.

  9. the ability to make a picture smaller or larger after copied

    In the previous version of mail I had the ability to make a picture smaller or larger after I copied the picture into the email. Also, I could select the picture and remove it from the email after it was copied into the email.
    These functions are no longer available in the new mail version. This ability was VERY USEFUL, and I believe it should be added back to the new version of mail.

  13. It is regarding Block Sender

    Block Sender and Delete Email feature should actually work in real if this feature is available in the Yahoo mail.
    Same senders can send the email even after blocking them.

  14. FIX THE SEARCH

    your new update sucks in the search. Used to be could use advance to narrow down search by putting what folder I wanted. Now I have to go to each folder then search. stupid.
    The mailbox filter is supposed to appear in Advanced Search, but it isn’t showing
    is missing in both Edge and Chrome

  16. PLEASE REMOVE THE COLORED CIRLED CONTACT LOGO NECT TO EACH EMAIL OF CONTACT SENDING EMAIL!!!

    I hate the look of the new yahoo with all the contacts showing the logo on the left for each email. - it's distracting and doesn't look compact and uniform like old version! please allow an option to remove this!!!

  17. email window height

    So, Yahoo has just unveiled new mail. Much about it does not seem that different, although everything is brighter (I had a decorative background on mine previously). But what I'm most surprised you didn't change is the height of the email window. You take up (and always have) so much room at the top of the page for a search bar and some button and then the mail navigation, then the header of the email. Allllll of that then very little room for the thing I am there for: The email. Why would you not change that. That space at…

    Function to mass block spam mail, add 500+ adresses by marking --> as it was before. simple and easy. to much spam in the folder, i need to mass block those adresses

  19. UI / Recipients

    After opening an Email in the Inbox, it could be shown more clearly whether the user is the only recipient or whether the message was addressed to others as well. That way, it would easier to see the recipients and choose the appropriate reply method. Currently, it shows only in small greyed out font "and one other". Thanks!

  20. Bug with CTRL-Enter shortcut and subject line

    The new UI has a bug when typing the subject. If I type letters on the subject line and IMMEDIATELY hit CTRL-ENTER to send the email, it will send it with no subject at all. I have to do something else before hitting CTRL-ENTER to get it to take. Either click the mouse in the body or if I click "Send".. This is a bug. The previous UI didn't do this. This is on Chrome on Windows. (didn't test it elsewhere)
