Put the cursor in the "To" field when forwarding an eamil
When you forward an email, the cursor used to be placed in the To field by default.
Now it's placed in the body, leaving the To field empty.
Stop that!

Making read and unread mail more visually different
After the update, it is now more difficult to easily see which emails have been read and which ones have not. I have to look so closely. I'm using dark mode. The previous version did not have this issue. It is now difficult and uncomfortable to use this email. I imagine anyone with even mild vision issues will now feel discriminated against as a result of this change. So please fix it.

remove reply/forward box
Please get rid of the reply/forward box under the email window. It takes away email space and is super annoying.

Allow filters that leave emails in the Inbox
I want to have a filter rule that sends most emails I receive to a folder but there are exceptions.
The simplest solution seems to be another filter of higher priority that "moves" the email to the Inbox but that is not a folder that can be selected.

Simplify, Get rid of the icons on the left of each mail item. They're distracting.
It's horrible. Horrible to read. Lose those icons on each piece of mail. Simplify the font. Make it less smushed.

Bring toolbar back
With the new interface, I can't quickly delete texts. Now I have to click an email, then click delete, then go back and click another email, then delete, etc. This new interace is clunky and not user friendly. I have never wanted to use gmail or any other email platform, but these changes have made Yahoo so much less desirable.

Improve the new Yahoo mail UX
I have been a loyal Yahoo Mail user for over 27 years, and I am extremely disappointed with the new design. The new layout is much more difficult to navigate and less user-friendly than the previous version.
The Inbox and the email reading pane are far too small, largely because so much screen space is wasted by excessive spacing at the top. As a result, the actual reading area is unnecessarily restricted, making it difficult to read emails comfortably and efficiently.
The primary purpose of an email service is to make reading, managing, and responding to emails easy. The new…

Return the Tab functionality.
Every time I hit the tab for proper punctuation it changes fields and messes up my email. Tab is a function necessary to write emails and the "new and ********* Yahoo" uses it to change tabs on the email so every time I hit it , it changes to the "send" button. Some times I accidently hit the wrong button and it sends the partial email. Did I mention how much I HATE, no how much I VICERALLY HATE the new yahoo?

Changes to mail format appearance
I’ve used Yahoo Mail since 1998, and the recent forced interface changes have made the service harder and more frustrating to use. I preferred the previous layout because it was familiar, efficient, and allowed me to manage multiple Yahoo accounts easily in one place.
The new format feels unnecessarily complicated. Even adding my other Yahoo accounts now involves too many steps and pop-up windows. Long-time users should be considered and consulted before major changes are made. Please provide a simpler, familiar layout option and make multi-account access easier again70th ranked -
New emails
In the old Yahoo Mail format when I would send a URL link, it would typically show the title and a small picture of the link, not just the URL link. What option do I take to make it do that again.. it was very helpful to the people I would send things to. Now it only shows the URL..

Consulting users before making major changes
’ve used Yahoo Mail since 1998, and the recent forced interface changes have made the service harder and more frustrating to use. I preferred the previous layout because it was familiar, efficient, and allowed me to manage multiple Yahoo accounts easily in one place.
The new format feels unnecessarily complicated. I have a mental disorder as does a vast majority of your users and even adding my other Yahoo accounts now involves too many steps and pop-up windows. Long-time users should be considered and consulted before major changes are made. Please provide a simpler, familiar layout option and make multi-account…70th ranked -
Keep folders visible always
Allow us to keep our folders open all the time. I use folders all the time to keep myself organised. I have tried using only the archive and searching, but it didn't work for me.

Cut out the "Gamifying of Email."
REALLY? You think all adults are interested in a popup that says something like "Congratulations! You've hit an email STREAK." I don't give a flip about streaks or badges or other such nonsense. I just want to see the email and get out as fast as possible. You are making this a monstrosity.

Bring Back "Star Message" in Mailbox View
Please reinstate the option to star a message directly from the mailbox view rather than having to open the message and activate the star from the inside of the email itself.

Delete the icon floating tips
Delete the icon floating tips. 1) they hang around which is a bug e.g. they appear and if you move your focus they tip still shows and is now in the way of reading the subject; 2) the tip adds no value. Everyone knows star is star; trash can is delete; and envelope is unread; file folder is move - ah maybe some don't get it that. These shortcuts should be in order of most use. Archive, Delete, Move, Star and then the rest under MORE.

Turn off the animation that appears on my inbox sometimes wanting me to sign up for something
I have migraines and the moving, falling stars for instance can trigger a migraine. I know that this kind of animation also triggers people with epilepsy.
