Unfortunately, you cannot revert back. We are only making the new one better. We know change is frustrating and hard but we really hope you'll give the new layout a fair chance.



WHAT'S NEW:
Calendar - We moved it from under "More" on the right hand side to it's own icon. Still on the right hand side, but it's now the first icon next to Starred and Contacts.

TIPS:
Disable Inbox Categories (All, Primary, etc) - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Inbox Categories.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Sort By Sender - This is still a sorting option, but you must disable Conversation view under your Settings. Then you will see "Sender name"
Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off
Unread Count - You can hover over "Inbox" to see the Unread count or you can expand the left hand column and Unread will be in the column below Inbox with the unread count. No hovering.

  1. Bring back the divider that split the inbox by date of email received, what sociopath thought removing that was a good idea??????

  2. Make Starred menu hideable

    I need to see as much of the email body as possible when reading it. If you choose to view on the side, it's pointless since you only see about an inch or two of screen. Choosing bottom view requires scrolling to read the whole email.

    Please make it so the Starred emails on the right can be hidden as they take up too much space. I was fine with how I accessed starred previously. This new layout is unusable.

  3. Stop popping up streaks for email or give me the option to opt out

    I really dislike you trying to gamify emails
    SO annoying
    Just stop with the pop ups or at least give the option to opt out of this

  4. add a toggle off button to stop the infantile email contests

    Or just don't have these contests in the first place.

  5. Make the area to view the content of the email larger. It currently only allows you to view a few lines of content. Allow full view of email

  6. Sorting email messages

    If I can sort the messages, I can delete a group instead of searching thru the entire "busy display". Really a terrible format. Too many pictures. Every time I open this program, I get error messages from Norton about how insecure this, your website, is. Really annoying looking at this new format and those error messages which take up about a third of the screen.

  7. Where can I find how much storage I have used? It seems to have disappeared with the update.

    I finally found where and how to view the size of my storage and with the update, it disappeared. Perhaps an email to users when you make an update, you educate us said changes.

    Dear Yahoo support team member,
    I have been using Yahoo Mail for over 20 years. Below are some comments regarding the New Yahoo Mail:
    1) The classic Yahoo Mail was excellent—the best web-based email service available. Now, I am very dissatisfied with this new Yahoo Mail.
    2) It is no longer possible to choose a background color; you can only select between LIGHT, DARK, or DEVICE settings. What a pity!
    3) Attachments from older messages do not appear within the messages themselves (unbelievable); instead, they are located in a separate folder, outside of chronological order. It’s a complete mess.

  9. Give the option to default the right side menu pane to closed.

  10. Attach Files from emails

    Please fix the ability to attach a file from an email rather than opening the saved documents from the computer. It is imperative to my day to day that I can attach quotes sent to the inbox to my clients. I sometimes have to attach multiple and it is not opening up the attachment menu any longer.

    I really miss the Basic Yahoo and ability to set a color scheme and format for the desktop. Please bring those options back.

  12. Trash needs to stay in same place

    The trash icon needs to stay in the same place. It moves left and right as some emails have reply all and some do not. Put it in the right corner. Or the left, or anywhere that is in one place. Having it move is terrible for quickly deleting the vast majority of email. If this isn't fixed, I'll be cancelling.

  13. I am slowly converting to a google address. I can no longer send some things without the use of the "Tab" making yahoo unusable.

    Also the Fancy update has VERY POOR differential between new & un-read emails. We are continually missing
    new emails. I have been with yahoo for many years & are now forced to change google, as your updates have bricked a very important system for us.

  14. Easier way to create contact list

    When creating a contact list include a way to look at full list of contacts, then click on a contact to add to list. remembering all persons to type in to create list is difficult with long lists.

  15. Multiple email forwarding

    Select multiple emails to be forwarded, rather than ONE AT AT TIME!...
    Very time consuming, particularly for those of us who use yahoo for both work and private purposes.

  16. I will be closing my account.

    I'm unhappy with this New Yahoo Mail. Hopefully, you did not actually have to pay humans to arrive at this iteration of Yahoo mail. Now I have to go to the trouble to discontinue my Yahoo email.

  17. Get rid of the priortized mail that pops up all the time!

    i don't want my mail prioritized!!!! It absolutely is annoying and distracting and should be my choice! Where can I change this setting?

  18. Some way to recover my upper screen space

    Give me a way to get rid of all of the wasted space above the email message body. All that **** takes up half of my screen so I have to constantly scroll to read the message.

  20. Deleting Spam needs warning pop-up for all instances of permanent deletion

    When selecting multiple items in the spam folder for deletion, and clicking the trash can button, a pop-up appears asking if you are sure you want to delete them forever.

    If you are looking at an individual message within the spam folder, and you click the trash can button from inside that message, it will delete forever with no pop-up.

    Please include the warning pop-up for all instances of permanent deletion.

    This issue occurred on Firefox 158.0.1.
