Unfortunately, you cannot revert back. We are only making the new one better. We know change is frustrating and hard but we really hope you'll give the new layout a fair chance.


WHAT'S NEW:
Calendar - We moved it from under "More" on the right hand side to it's own icon. Still on the right hand side, but it's now the first icon next to Starred and Contacts.

TIPS:
Disable Inbox Categories (All, Primary, etc) - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Inbox Categories.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Sort By Sender - This is still a sorting option, but you must disable Conversation view under your Settings. Then you will see "Sender name"
Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off

  1. Get someone smarter to re-design the whole appearance

    Take a very good look at Gmail, how they put everything there, compact style, for user to see and use. Yahoo Mail is making a big mess every single time in changing the look. You target to make bigger space for putting 'AD', and ridiculously small spacing to read message or manage folder list because it is not expanded and require a click and pop up screen to appear. Rubbish Yahoo Mail

  4. New look is terrible

    I can't get rid of the sender icons. This is just one of the many issues with the new look. Please make it so people can customize the interface. Some of us do not like busy mail pages with colors and circles and distracting, non helpful settings.

  5. unread email row highlight

    i think the previous yahoo mail design the entire row background was different for unread emails instead of just an indicator and brighter text. i added this ublock rule to make the entire row background brighter for unread emails like it was in the previous design. mail.yahoo.com##[data-test-id="message-list-item"]:has([data-test-id="unread-indicator"].C_Z2c8wkG):style(background-color: #383e49 !important;)

  7. Allow the folders to still stay open and listed; settings???

    I could not find anywhere I could set settings, filters etc. Plus, is there any way I can have my folders all listed as opposed to just nested under "FOLDERS".

    This was my favorite email.... but I may be looking for a new one.

  8. The readable area of each email is TOO SMALL

    There is so much stuff permanently imbedded on the screen that there is not enough room for me to see my emails. The is extremely frustrating. I will probably stop using this email.

  11. restore horizontal separators between todays mail, current week, previous weeks/months

    It was very helpful to see the "calendar" at a glance. Now you need to examine each mail date and make the mental calculation. So bring that option back.

  12. layout

    The new reply/forward buttons are permanently taking up half of the screen on opening a post. It's causing people to see only a single line of the email.

  13. Please, let us customize the color scheme like we did before!

    Why can we no longer customize colors for our viewing? All we get to choose from now is either black or white? Why give us all the other bells and whistles but take away a basic, pleasing perk? At least give us the Yahoo purple, PLEASE!!

  14. Attachments

    Can attachments in mails automatically preview without even clicking the preview button? it will help us not to click anymore to see what it contains instead of popping out a large window inside the yahoo mail. Hope it works, thank you.

  15. There's no selection to "Star" important emails, there's too much white space makes it difficult to read! Not user friendly!!!!

    Return to the previous version, the newly devised version is NOT USER FRIENDLY!!!

  16. New calendar layout

    The new monthly calendar is MUCH HARDER TO READ than the old one!! Do not waste space with the colored dot for each entry. Set the background color like it used to be. Allow entries to wrap if there's enough space in the day block.

  17. re-allow "delete" icon to be active for next item down after a delete

    It used to work that way. Now you need to "wiggle" the mouse to re-activate "delete" after it scrolls down after deleting an email. Was more convenient that way since once you'd highlit delete subsequent deletes automatically popped up. Now you need to wiggle the mouse each time.

  18. Block spam option disappeared

    what happened to the ability to block spam addresses? It disappeared and as bad as your filtering has gotten in the past couple of months, it'd be nice to be able to block some of this stuff. IMPROVE YOUR SPAM FILTERS!!!!

  19. no ads in my email

    Keep ads off to the side, don't make them look like my own email. Geez that's horrible.

  20. Deselect selected messages with up/down arrow keys

    With the old mail a feature I used all the time was selecting multiple messages then marking them as read. After I could click up or down arrow on the keyboard to deselect them. I now have to use my mouse to click the select all box twice to deselect all. Implementing this in the new version would be a huge time saver
