  1. Reporting vs commentary

After reading Yahoo news including today's Asawin Suebsaeng article it seems very clear that Yahoo news doesn't separate 'news' from 'commentary.' It would be so nice if Yahoo wouldn't follow the current trend of confusing snideness with cleverness and reporting facts with creative writing.

  7. Improving experience

I like Yahoo news, but am wanting to change to another source for my news because you won't stop sending me an offensive ad from The Financial Chatter. I do not want to see a women's butt every time I go to your site. I have asked you in the past send me ads with naked women, but you don't seem to listen.

  8. Don't censor, gaslight or disable commenting!!

Disabling commenting on controversial articles (like the catholic priest comments criticizing Trump for Capitol Hill break-in) is censoring to avoid controversial speech and implicitly gaslighting the audience. You publish misguided or uninformed speech (the poor priest has been gaslit by you and the rest of the media regarding authors of the break-in and he doesn't realize it). You do this to substantiate your gaslighting and to continue the deception and don't allow the public to correct it via comments. Shame on you for this blatant and fascistic manipulation of public opinion. The investigation is not complete, but points to substantial…

  9. Please fix your filters. I have REPEATEDLY selected the options NOT to show stories from lying, anti-American media sources like Fox News.

I DO NOT wish to have Fox News, the National Review or other right-wing lies posted to my supposedly "customized" news feed but no matter HOW MANY TIMES I click "Do not show..." NOTHING CHANGES. I'm going to post this and wait ONE WEEK to see if anything gets fixed, THEN I will completely DELETE my Yahoo account, including Mail. No more ad revenue for news sites that LIE.

  10. Community discourse

You think taking away the public discourse on your site is a positive thing is completely misguided. There are very few sites that offer this feature, and they are primarily Right Wing Propaganda sites. Taking away our discussion abdicates the argument to Alt Right sites that none of us looking for a legitimate discussion board want to participate in. Bring back your discussion. It was important, and you will not be surrendering the discussion to the Alt-Right sites!

  11. Comments

Maybe programming a filter for the comments that will show up. I understand everyone has a right to voice both good and bad opinions, and we should be able to see both sides. Not everyone has to like each other, and each person is entitled to disagree with something, however when most of the comments are hateful and disrespectful, that's crossing the line.

  12. less partisan. so sick and fed up with mike berbernes partisan take on the presidency

Ive used yahoo for my searches since forever. But the constant divisive nature of yahoo news is repugnant. President Trump has brokered peace in the middle east, reformed veterans care, sheparded an incredible economy, low unemployment, promoted women into prominent important positions in the military and elsewhere, and dozens of other progressive achievements. Never, ever one positive word. You are promoting divisiveness by presenting a sole, slanted viewpoint. Why don't you print some factual news instead of strictly opinion oriented news???? Maybe America would be a less divided nation if the media would act like reporters and not write opinion…

  13. Don't use a a paradox to defend a bad choice

Our goal is to create a safe and engaging place for users to connect over interests and passions....we are temporarily suspending article commenting.

Those are mutually contradicting phrases and does not convince me that you're interested in providing a means to connect.

  15. Yahoo is erforming blanket censorship!

The management of Yahoo, whether they be anatomical twats or *****, are enacting blanket censorship by their anti-American blockage of the free exchange of ideas between readers.

It is not for the management, no matter how they "feel about what is being said", their "feelings" are not protected, nor condoned under the U.S. Constitution, which is the law of the land in which Yahoo calls "home office".

  16. I thought that the US was no longer a member of the WHO, and who in the **** is the

US to think we can demand anything from China. This is Trump again and if China was not as nice as they are would tell Trump to stick it.
Of course, he has Pompeo over their throwing sanctions and tariffs
around to apease Donnie and in two days they will be DUST. I suggest
that the US send a wire to China- "PLEASE DISREGARD ANYTHING
YOU ARE REQUESTED TO DO FROM THE US UNTIL AFTER THE
20TH OF JANUARY. ANYTHING BEFORE THAN IS A FOOLISH PLOY BY TRUMP AND HIS DOG POMPEO.

  17. You fall by the wayside, with the other "reporting agencies" that offer no way to make our feelings known... i.e. gone

Am curious on HOW you will gauge your reporting as effective (or otherwise) with no comment feedback.
I will put up with this temporarily, as a low priority informative...but NOT for long...

  19. Reinstate "comments". Not nearly as entertaining.

Bring back "comments section. O now spend 75% less time on Yahoo than previously. Change back soon or I'll move to Google as my home page. Thanks...

Now is the Winter of our discontent with the Ottawa Covid vaccine evaluation committee; a Nobel in Chemistry or Physics must immediately be appointed to head it up, then the Oxford Astrazenica vaccine shall be approved by Tuesday, the Brits approved it a fortnight ago! Shots in Ontario arms can then be achieved within a week. QED
