How can we improve New Mail?

disable the star feature from Yahoo.com mail?

Is there a way to disable the star feature that is displayed before each email? Please advise.

    All of a sudden, I find a 'Starred' folder. I didn't know it was added, I guess during the last update? I 'star' important messages like bills to pay and emails to read and research later. I've been going crazy looking for my bills that need to be paid, now! I would like to delete that folder but haven't figured it out. Why don't you Yahoo people tell your users when there are changes? Very disappointed in the lack of communication. You people need to lower your knowledge to the user level.
